Earlier this week, Tom Daley and Noah Williams executed six remarkable dives in the men’s 10m synchro diving final, clinching a silver medal.
The British pair were surpassed by China’s Lian Junjie and Hao Yang, who finished first with 490.35 points. Daley and Williams scored 463.44 points, while Canada’s Ryan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray earned the bronze.
This marks Daley’s fifth Olympic appearance and his return to the sport after a two-year break post-2021 Tokyo Games, where he won gold. His Paris silver completes his Olympic medal collection, which now includes one of each color.
Daley, performing in front of his family, including his son Robbie who encouraged his return, said, “It’s just so special. Diving in front of Robbie, who asked me to come back, is a highlight. Now I have one of every color,” he told the BBC.
Regarding future competitions, Daley added, “I don’t know. Right now, I want to enjoy today and then see what the future holds.”
