Team GB had a sensational day at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, capturing five golds and a total of ten medals. The dayโs highlight came from the Para-swimmers, who won three gold medals in just 40 minutes, with Stephen Clegg, William Ellard, and Alice Tai leading the charge. Both Clegg and Ellard set new world records, making the day even more remarkable.
Amy Truesdale claimed gold in the womenโs K44 +65kg Para-taekwondo in a dramatic final, narrowly avoiding disqualification. Matt Bush followed with another gold in the menโs K44 +80kg category, bringing Team GBโs gold tally to 11 at these Games.
Elsewhere, Poppy Maskill and Louise Fiddes added silver and bronze in the pool, while Archie Atkinson claimed silver in a heart-stopping velodrome race. Para-archer Jodie Grinham, who is seven months pregnant, secured bronze, and Paul Karabardak with Billy Shilton also won bronze in the menโs doubles MD14 in table tennis.
