Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has done it again! The American track star stormed to victory in the women’s 400m hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympics, breaking her own world record with a stunning time of 50.37 seconds. This incredible performance not only secured her the gold medal but also shattered her previous record of 50.65 seconds, set in 2022.
Her teammate, Anna Cockrell, also put on a remarkable performance, finishing with a time of 51.87 seconds to take the silver medal. The race was intense from start to finish, with McLaughlin-Levrone leading the pack and proving once again why she’s the best in the world.
Dutch athlete Femke Bol, known for her long strides and strong finishes, secured the bronze medal. However, reports suggest she looked visibly disappointed after the race, likely due to not being able to improve on her silver medal from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
